Then, pour the lye into the boiled water, and you have to continuously stir until the water and the lye begins to clear. Next, add 2/3 cup of coconut oil and 2/3 cup of olive oil into a jar together. Then, heat the jar of oil in a microwave for around 1 minute, and wait for the temperature to increase to one 120 degrees or so. After that, set it apart until it is cool between 95 and 100 degrees. If the temperature is too low, it will be coarse. Next, pour the oil into a bowl, followed by the lye, and continuously stir by hand until they are all combined.
After combining all the ingredients, make the soap pleasing in scent by essential oils or herbs. You can add any herbal materials as you desire such as lavender, jasmine or chamomile for 1/4 cup. For essential oils, they can be used at between 15 and 20 drops. Then, stir to combine the ingredients. For this step, you can do it by using an immersion blender for making the soap mixture begins lightens in color and become thick. After that, carefully pour the soap mixture into a mould then cover it with plastic wrap, and fold with a warm towel. Next, set it apart and wait for 24 hours to become solid soap. Lastly, the final step is waiting for the forming shape of soap. After one day, your soap will be cold and unified. If it is not, you should let it set for another 12 hours. When it has a stable contour, take it onto a piece of paper. Then, cut it to size as you require, and let the soap rest in baking paper for 4 weeks. During the rest time, you have to turn the paper over once a week to expose all sides to the air. Finally, when it is complete, throw the baking paper off, and use it for cleansing your body.
