4 things you only find in Japan
1.Slurping is a very good thing
In many countries including Thailand, parents always teaching
their children about table manners. If you are make noise while you're chewing,
that is very rude but it is not like that in Japan. In Japan, slurping is a
good thing to do, especially when they eat noodles. Slurp loudly when you eat
can indicate that the food is delicious and it is a strange way to give a
compliment to the chef.
2. Vending machines
Of course, most of countries all over the world have vending
machines. Vending machine is the machine that sell goods such as drinks, snacks
or cigarettes to people but vending machine in Japan is different. What makes
them so remarkable are their bizarre contents. You can expect to find them
everywhere from ancient temples to the top of the Mount Fuji, with a wide
selection of goods ranging from fresh eggs and crepes to batteries, umbrellas
and even underwear.
3. Outrageous Kit Kat flavors
I bet everyone know Kit Kat, a chocolate bar in vivid red
wrap and we only know that it has one flavor, chocolate flaver of course, but
it is not like that in Japan. There are many flavors of Kit Kat in Japan, from
common flaver like strawberry to bizarre flavor like soy sauce. it´s almost
impossible to imagine something like baked potato Kit Kat, soy sauce Kit Kat or
wasabi Kit Kat. But not only do these flavors really exist in Japan; they are
among the most popular.
4. Washlets
Washlets or, as many people tend to say, “crazy Japanese
super toilets” are electric toilet seats with a water spray feature that cleans
your butt. I know that Japan has a very high technology on everything, but is
it necessary to create a high tech washlets? This is my personal experience
when I travelled to Japan. I found it very difficult to use this super toilet.
There are many buttons with Japanese letters and I don't know which button I
have to press. While the Japanese are totally used to this zesty feeling,
foreigners getting a shot of water up their butts are usually startled to say
the least.
