3 Steps to Develop Self Confidence

Do you want to be a confident person? It is not difficult to improve yourself, but it is not easy too. The ways to develop your self-confidence are not what you can learn by just reading, but there are also about knowing yourself and changing your mind with a positive attitude. Having positive thoughts : Positive thinking can help you to have a good mental health, and it is the most important step for being a confident person. First, you have to know your strengths and your weaknesses by writing a list of what you are skilled at and what you need to improve. You can discuss with your friends and family to ask for their opinions. Accordingly, if you have already known your own strong points and your defects, you will know the way to develop and improve them. Then, accept compliments along with using criticisms as learning experiences, and know when to compliment yourself. Since everyone has their own opinions, and it is impossible that everyone will see the world in the same way. When someone criticizes your work in a negative way, you just listen to them and use it as a way to improve yourself. However, if you did it your best, you have to know how to compliment yourself. On the other hand, when you make some mistakes, you must accept that everyone can make any mistakes. Additionally, do not blame yourself and think of your mistakes as negative but use it as your learning opportunities. Once you have positive thoughts, you are approaching to the development of your self-confidence.  
Planning and preparation : People often feel less confident when they are in difficult situations. What you should do is to plan for them and get yourself ready for everything. When you have to face some tough situations, you have to prepare yourself and find the ways to cope with them. For instance, you are going to have a job interview, you should prepare yourself for it. Plan for what you want to say to present yourself and think about questions which you may be asked, and then practice with your friends or talk to yourself in front of a mirror. Thus, these can help you to control of difficult situations if you try to deal with them with your best.  
Not compare yourself with others : You may have someone who influences you on your life and want to be like them, but you must realize that everyone has different ways of life. When you endeavor to do something with your best, yet it does not achieve your goals, just find the other ways to reach it. Whether you could accomplish the goals, you still can learn from your failures. Trying to be someone else or comparing yourself with them always decreases your spirit and your self-confidence. Being yourself and proud of it is better than attempt to be like others.  
Consequently, self-confidence is extremely important to our lives and people who lack confidence are difficult to be success. As the quote states, by Arthur Ashe "One important key to success is self-confidence. An important key to self-confidence is preparation." With the steps I mentioned above, you will know how to have more self-confidence. However, confidence is not a skill that you can learn by the set of rules.
